So I'm working on my 3rd revision of the Glove Mouse. This time around I plan to move the tracking laser further down near the heel of the palm with a custom cushion sewn into the glove to provide support and protect/house the laser. The buttons for left/right click will be placed closer to the tips of the fingers. Now you may be saying to yourself, "Dude that's dumb, how will I type?" and I'd say, "It's not dumb. Jerkface. I'm gonna place a pressure switch in the aforementioned palm cushion to turn off the click switches when the hand is off of a surface. "w00t!" you say?! Well 'w00t' indeed! I'm also going to mold some small flexible mount plates for the switches to provide more stability and resistance to them. Later in the build I plan to incorporate a charging circuit and super thin battery pack. I just finished sewing the prototyping glove I'll be using to work out placement. I sacrificed the sleeve of an old t-shirt, cut it up and did a lil really poor sewing and voila, a fingerless glove!
Below are a few pictures of the mount I've made out of moldable plastic for the laser assembly.
